A Scanmarket Customer Case

Challenge

CEMEX is a global manufacturer and supplier of materials for the construction industry, providing quality products and reliable services to customers and communities in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. They need access to building materials and contract management at scale. CEMEX also needs contracts to prepare for “overburden strips” which consist of heavy machinery, including excavators to unearth raw materials.  

Solution

CEMEX used Scanmarket’s eAuction platform to execute a tender to collect bids. Seven bidders, from their pre-approved list of suppliers, were invited to the £1,000,000 tender. Key internal stakeholders, including quarry and operations managers, were brought into the process alongside detailed specifications for the project that required complicated 3D modeling to adequately describe the work to be done.

Result
