Challenge

Scandlines, which runs two high-capacity ferry routes between Denmark and Germany,  needed new ways to carry out their sourcing activities. They had experienced delays, lack of competition, little transparency, and difficulties in processing data. As a result, projects were not aligned nor visible to senior management.

Solution

Scandlines used Scanmarket’s Project Management platform to manage workspaces and plans. They used Scanmarket’s Supply Base Management platform to manage supplier onboarding, and Scanmarket’s eRFx and eAuction platforms for tender activities across all categories  

Result

Scanmarket drove Scandlines digital transformation to make a fundamental shift in how sourcing was done at the company. The client increased their number of projects with efficient execution, clean data and high stakeholder engagement, with 100% transparency.
